Daughters of Deborah (DOD) Inc. was established on April 23, 2005, to serve our communities in the areas of Women’s Empowerment, Health & Wellness, Education, and Senior Care.   Our commitment has successfully impacted the lives of women, children, and seniors locally, regionally, and nationally. We are excited about the future of our communities.

Our Mission

Our mission is to improve the conditions of women, especially the underprivileged, through resources and opportunities that foster a network of support and contribute to the professional development of women.

Our History | Daughters of Deborah, Inc.

Est. 2005

Daughters of Deborah (DOD) Inc. was established on April 23, 2005, by Dr. Gail Fulgham along with 29 “Women Empowering Women”; serving the community through outreach and missions. For almost two decades, we have impacted many lives throughout the Jackson Metro area, as well as national and international arenas.

Our Community Initiatives/Projects include: 

  • Meals on Wheels (for low-income individuals and families)
  • College Scholarships
  • Breast Cancer Awareness Activities
  • Personal Care Baskets and personal needs items for local homeless shelters
  • Contributions supporting cancer research through the Susan G. Komen Foundation and the American Heart Association
  • Annual Christmas Toy Drive
  • Annual Donation Drive | Dress for Success
  • Support of local nursing homes and the National Wounded Warrior Program
  • Annual Back to School Activities | Jackson School District
